Hello to you all! Nice to see such an effort to bring together information regarding these much loved + hated Russian contraptions (obviously i'm more on the 'fond' end of that spectrum...most of the time..ok, sometimes).
I'm spending a lot of time out in Bulgaria and having had my bemused eye on these for a while, finally took the dive and picked one up as a project. have since been rebuilding it top to bottom, almost every nut, bolt, bearing, gasket and component. they're wonderfully simple and easy to repair things, which is good, because they were subject to soviet (and now russian) quality control...which means repairs are...common.
looking forward to seeing where this forum goes and a c**p ton of credit to Niels for setting it up!
